    4×4 Info centre:

    • Transmission systems, including gearbox, high/low range and differential-locks.
    • Air-suspension system, including height, wheel travel and slip indicator.
    • Steering position.
    • Dynamic traction control systems such as Hill-decent control.
    • Illustration is of the productised system on Discovery 3 (2004), which closely followed the layout and functionlity of my prototype UI.

     

    Lead UX Designer, responsible for:

    Product requirement gathering from off-road driving experts, Wireframe specifications, prototype graphic design, screen layout and animation, State-based functionality simulation, Integrated in-dash prototype driven by real-time vehicle sensors.

     

    Off-Road Navigation:

    • Specify route by a series of waypoints, manually entered or dropped during driving.
    • Naviate using waypoint bearing arrow and vehicle-heading indicator.
    • Choice of map-based or data-oriented views.
    • Note that illustrations are simplified layouts taken from the instruction manual.
